Admission Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent or Mature Student Status. Courses are open to any applicant who possesses a good command of the English language and is able to follow instructions. All applicants whose first language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency. An admissions interview and entrance essay will be administered to determine if the applicant has the required interest, motivation, and entry-level skills to take this program. Full-time students must attend the required hours per week as per the course schedule and may do so at times convenient to them.
Program Highlights
This program is designed to prepare students to effectively diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues encountered when servicing personal computers and related technology. It provides in-depth knowledge of computer hardware components, system architecture, and peripheral devices. Students gain hands-on experience in assembling, disassembling, and repairing computers, as well as identifying and resolving hardware and software problems. The curriculum also prepares learners to pursue industry-recognized certifications, including CompTIA A+, Network+, and Server+, which enhance professional credibility and employment prospects in the IT sector.

Graduates of this program are equipped to work in a variety of technical support and hardware-focused roles within the IT industry. They can be employed as bench technicians in small to medium-sized PC or electronics companies, as well as in large PC manufacturing and service organizations. Opportunities also exist in computer sales, technical support, and repair services.
